Summary

Lisa Bothwell is a partner in the Business & Finance Department. Lisa has proven herself to be an effective dealmaker who can handle difficult, high-end transactions, but can also handle smaller transactions in a cost-effective manner. She has closed dozens of M&A deals on the buy and sell side in the low to middle market.

Her corporate practice goes well beyond mergers and acquisitions: Lisa advises business clients on capital raises, business succession planning, business separations, joint ventures, phantom interest plans, and corporate governance. She is a trusted advisor to her clients and acts as outside general counsel to many family-owned businesses and start-up ventures in various industries. Lisa regularly negotiates and prepares operating agreements, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements, and represents clients in estate planning and nonprofit law.

Lisa was selected to the list of Super Lawyers® Rising Stars for 2020 - 2024. The attorneys listed in Super Lawyers® Rising Stars are limited to no more than 2.5% of Pennsylvania attorneys under 40 years old or in practice for 10 years or less. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a paralegal at a boutique entertainment law firm and music publishing company in New York City. While earning her law degree from the Boston University School of Law, she served as an Editor for the Review of Banking and Financial Law and completed an externship at the Office of Chief Counsel (Internal Revenue Service). Lisa is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.
