Before re-training as an attorney, Janel had over thirteen years of hands-on experience in a variety of business roles, including: marketing, sales, and management. She brings a keen understanding and broad knowledge of the key factors and concerns of business owners to every engagement. Janel is well prepared to provide her clients with strategic advice to reduce risk and meet their goals throughout the life cycle of the business.
Janel represents business owners regarding a variety of transactional matters, including business formation, drafting governance documents, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, shareholder/member/partnership agreements, ownership disputes, commercial agreements, drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements, employment contracts, asset purchase agreements, buy-sells, leases and other documents; performing substantial due diligence, and working with state and local governments to obtain necessary business licenses and guide her clients through the process as seamlessly as possible.
In addition, Janel brings her experience and skill sets as a real estate consultant to bear on her real estate practice; focusing on sales, leases and acquisitions related to business entities, and brings a keen understanding of the elements of such transactions to each negotiation and deal.
Before joining Antheil Maslow & MacMinn, Janel gained experience as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. During her clerkship, she focused on an array of specialties including civil litigation, business negotiations, family law, medical malpractice, and juvenile dependency.
Janel earner her J.D. from Widener University, Commonwealth School of Law, and is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude.
Janel enjoys being active in nature, traveling, skiing/snowboarding with her three sons, and spending time with friends. Janel also commits time to community organizations that serve abused women and survivors of human trafficking.
